Orla O'Loughlin Biography

The Traverse Theatre, under Artistic Director Orla O'Loughlin, delivers a year-round programme of powerful contemporary work which aims to both entertain and stir conversation – reflecting the times and provoking crucial debate amongst audiences, inspiring them to challenge the status quo. Over the course of her career she has directed an eclectic mix of award-winning and internationally acclaimed new work at a range of arts venues, festivals and non-conventional theatre-spaces. She was listed in the Observer as one of the top 50 Cultural leaders in the UK.

Kate Gray Biography

Kate Gray is the director for Collective Gallery. Collective is a contemporary visual arts organisation that brings people together around the production and presentation of new work.

Coming from a practitioner’s background, Kate has worked with Artlink Edinburgh and led large-scale projects such as the Collective’s own “One-Mile” programme, which sought to engage with those publics within 1 mile radius of the gallery. Taking over the directorship of Collective in 2008, she has guided the Gallery’s move from its smaller location on Cockburn St, through its temporary location on Calton hill, and now as it moves into the final stages of its current £4m restoration project of the old City
